Sally has been our Practice Pharamcy advisor for a number of years and has recently joined us to work alongside the GPs helping with complex Medication reviews for patients with many diseases. She provides education and training to the nurses and dispensers and will in future help patients to better understand their medication
The midwife holds antenatal clinics by appointment with reception. You do not need to see a doctor before seeing the midwife. To contact the midwife just ring reception. Along with the health visitor, the midwife runs a weekly Breast Feeding Support Group in the area.
The health visitor is concerned with the promotion of health and prevention of ill health by the provision of education, advice and support. They are particularly concerned with the health and well-being of babies and children up to 5 years old. They run baby clinics. Please ask reception for the times of the clinics and when the health visitor is available at either surgery.
Our doctors may refer you to other health care professionals for treatment in the surgery or elsewhere in Copeland, e.g. speech and language therapy, dietician, physiotherapy, podiatry, mental health counseling and drug/alcohol counseling. You can now self refer to podiatry and physiotherapy, please contact reception for information.
